Datawheel Delivers User-Centered Design Training in Colombia to Support the Digital Transformation of Judicial Services

Datawheel LLC recently completed a training session in Colombia with teams from the Rama Judicial de Colombia as part of its ongoing work supporting the evaluation and improvement of public digital services.

The training focused on strengthening practical capabilities in user-centered design, usability evaluation, accessibility, service journeys, and methods for improving digital experiences across priority judicial services, including the Ventanilla Judicial Electrónica and the Tarjeta Digital de Abogados.

Through the sessions, participants explored how public institutions can better understand user needs, identify barriers in digital service delivery, and develop more accessible, intuitive, and human-centered services. The training also created a space for dialogue around the role of design, evidence-based evaluation, and continuous improvement in the modernization of public services.

“This training was an opportunity to move beyond theory and work directly with the tools, methods, and conversations that help institutions design better digital services for people,” said Pablo Paladino, Chief Technology Officer at Datawheel. “We are grateful for the engagement, openness, and commitment shown by the teams in Colombia.”

The training was part of Datawheel’s broader collaboration with the Rama Judicial de Colombia, focused on evaluating the user experience of digital judicial services and supporting the adoption of user-centered design practices in public-sector digital transformation processes.

Datawheel extends its appreciation to all participants and institutional teams involved in the training. The company also expresses its solidarity with the people of Colombia following the recent earthquake, sending its support to the families and communities affected during this difficult time.

“We leave this experience with deep respect for the dedication of the teams working to improve access to justice through better digital services,” added Pablo. “Colombia welcomed us with warmth and professionalism, and we are thankful for the opportunity to contribute to this important work.”
